'Bucha's Brew' kombucha branding and packaging design
I was asked to develop the branding and naming for a kombucha company owned by two female entrepreneurs. To give the product a strong shelf impact, I developed a bold identity to contrast with the
softer neutral palettes of competitor kombuchas. The name was coined as an ode to the magical craft of the kombucha fermentation process,
and the logo puts the live cultures centre stage, celebrating their magical properties.

A modular grid contrasts with the organic logo type, referencing the controlled environment of scientific study. Dotted lines used as framing devices and divider lines draw from the visual language of molecular chemistry.

Agrandir was chosen because of its humanist and organic characterisics such as curved legs of the capital ‘Rs’ and ‘Ks’ and the upturned vestigial tail curves.
Neue Machina has monospace/geometric type features which contrast well with the more organic forms of Agrandir.
