Evening Standard 'Pub of the Year' Campaign

I was approached by the editor of London Live who wanted to relaunch the Evening Standard Pub of the Year awards. The identity needed to have some gravitas in order to appeal to the affluent demographic of Evening Standard readers. I developed a concept encapsulating the fanfare of an awards event with a modern aesthetic. The design was inspired by the clean elegance of Art Deco mixed with the vibrancy and pomp of poster designs for the Monterey Jazz Festival.
